In a message via its website, it said it was exploring other opportunities to help creators achieve success.
"The Creator Rewards program will end on November 30, 2022. To all the creators who participated, thank you for your partnership. We’re committed to exploring more ways to help you find success on Pinterest and we’re looking forward to finding more opportunities to work together in 2023," it read.
Sources however say that Pinterest will pay a one-time bonus to creators who participated in at least one reward goal for August, September, or October 2022.Â
Pinterest is shutting down its Creator Rewards program to focus on the Creator Fund. The creator fund is focused on the growth and success of underrepresented creators: people of color, people with disabilities and members of the LGBTQ+ community.Â
"The Fund’s goal is to foster creator talent through financial and educational support while aiming to make Pinterest an increasingly inclusive and diverse platform," according to the statement published by the image haring service.
The firm launched a $500,000 Creator Fund last year and injected an additional $1.2 million this year into the project.Â
