All you need to know about Elon Musk’s New Twitter Verification
This is coming following the series of events after Musk decided to open the verification feature on the microblogging platform to anyone for the sale of $8 per month, under the Twitter Blue feature.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Twitter, Elon Musk, has announced the launch of three new verification tags. set to roll out on December 2, 2022.
They are namely; Gold checks for verified companies; Grey checks for verified government accounts, and Blue checks for individuals.
He also added that all verified accounts “will be manually authenticated before the check activates.”
Musk noted that individuals that belong to an organization (presumably, such as a journalism outlet) would have a tiny logo close to their names, if that organization verifies them.
The Twitter boss has stressed that the roll out of features would be tentative.

Within hours of that plan launching, unverified users were already successfully impersonating public figures and companies.
Musk, however, hopes that organizational affiliation, bio and follower count would distinguish between real and fake people.
